French Open 2023 Final: Novak Djokovic created a record after winning the 23rd Grand Slam

Novak Djokovic won the French Open and became the first male tennis player to win the 23rd Grand Slam title most by any male player.

Novak Djokovic won the French Open against Casper Ruud by a scoreline of 7-6(1), 6-3, 7-5 in the final on Sunday. He became the first man to achieve the 23rd Grand Slam in men’s tennis history.

Djokovic overtakes Rafael Nadal after winning the French Open. However, Nadal’s injury came out as a blessing for Djokovic because he also knows that Nadal is unbeatable when it comes to playing on clay, but this time, he pulled out of the tournament because of a hip injury which gave Djokovic an upper hand to win the French Open, but it was not easy for Djokovic as he faced up the young sensational talent and ranked one in tennis Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-final.

After creating history, Djokovic is now another G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time) of Tennis, but the first one will always be Roger Federer, who retired from tennis. Djokovic is one of the fittest players in tennis right now. Even though he is 36, the way he maintains himself on and off the field is commendable because he has beaten the ranked 1 player who is just 16 years old.

Djokovic was quite happy with the record and always gave some humourous reply to reporters after winning the title, As they asked about the concept he used to keep himself fit.

“nourishes the body with wavelengths of therapeutic light, without side effects or the release of any chemicals.”

“When I was a kid I liked Iron Man a lot, so I try to impersonate Iron Man.”

Djokovic said in a interview

Djokovic did not use the Covid-19 vaccine because, in the longer term, it would weaken the organs, which will be going to affect his performance. He is now level with Serena Williams on 23 grand slam titles, and both of them are just one title behind Margaret Court, who have 24 grand slam. However, Serena Williams is already retired, so Djokovic has the chance to win the next two titles to overtake Margaret to become the greatest in all tennis history.

It is funny to see that Djokovic is not considered as greatest by many people as they think only Nadal and Federer are the ones who are the greatest of all time, but the amount of work and title Novak won its more than any two. He is a kind of villain in Tennis sports even though he has a great heart and always keeps himself pumped up.
