Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is a franchise cricket team based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The team competes in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and was founded in 2008. The home ground of RCB is M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, which has a seating capacity of over 38,000 spectators. The franchise is owned by United Spirits and is captained by Virat Kohli. Despite having some big names in their squad such as AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell, RCB has never won an IPL championship title. They have finished runners-up thrice in 2009, 2011 and 2016. The team is coached by Simon Katich and Mike Hesson serves as the director of cricket operations.
