Punjab Kings (PBKS), formerly known as Kings XI Punjab, is a franchise cricket team based in Mohali, Punjab, India. The team competes in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and was founded in 2008. The home ground of PBKS is PCA Stadium, which has a seating capacity of over 26,000 spectators. The franchise is co-owned by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia and others. PBKS has never won the IPL championship but has finished runners-up once in 2014. The team is coached by Anil Kumble and KL Rahul serves as the current captain of the side.
