Palani Tuskers clinch their first championship in the Yuva Kabaddi Series Summer Edition, with standout performances recognized in various categories.

The Yuva Kabaddi Series Summer Edition concluded with the Palani Tuskers claiming their first championship in an exhilarating final at the Chamundi Vihar Indoor Stadium, Mysore, Karnataka. The thrilling decider extended into extra time, amplifying the overall suspense of the competition.

The victorious Palani Tuskers walked away with a substantial cash reward of INR 20 lakhs, acknowledging their outstanding performance throughout the series. The valiant runners-up, the Periyar Panthers, were bestowed with a notable cash prize of INR 10 lakhs. The third-placed team, the Nilgiri Knights, were also recognised for their efforts and rewarded with a decent sum of INR 5 lakhs.

Throughout the tournament, kabaddi stars from YUVA exhibited exceptional prowess in both offensive and defensive play. Durgesh Kumar from Chambal Challengers distinguished himself as the Best Raider, securing an impressive total of 274 raid points. Meanwhile, Lokesh Ghosliya of the Periyar Panthers demonstrated his defensive strength, winning the Best Defender title with a remarkable 103 tackle points.

Additionally, Gagan Gowda from the Hampi Heroes shone brightly as the Most Effective Raider, securing 73.21 points, while Lokesh Ghosliya again demonstrated his all-around abilities by also securing the ‘Most Effective Defender’ award with a score of 12.04 points.
