Why Kalidou Koulibaly left Chelsea just after one year of spell and moved to Saudi Pro League team Al-Hilal for 20 Million Euros
Kalidou Koulibaly leaves Chelsea F.C. after just one year spell in the club. Many media press said that Mauricio Pochettino, the new manager of Chelsea, decided not to include him in his plan.
Chelsea brought in Koulibaly last year from Napoli for around 33 million euros, but since the start of the season, he struggled to get his place in the side, and just after one year, he left the club.
Chelsea F.C. posted a statement about his move to the Al-Hilal side, saying they completed the permanent transfer and thanked him for his contribution on and off the field.
Koulibaly is another star in the Saudi Pro League as many star players have already joined a few clubs of the Pro League of Saudi, which started with Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Al-Nassr in January after Manchester United released him for talking against them in the interview with Morgan.
Kalidou told the Corriere dello Sport media that he had not been guaranteed a spot in the playing 11, and he doesn’t like to sit on the bench because he wants to be the center of the project. He also said that they wanted to have a prime me, which he was in Napoli, but it was not that bad season for him as he wanted more time on the pitch to settle down.
Kalidou Koulibaly is ready to play in the AFCON, as it is the most important tournament for him, and he is one of the key players of Senegal who will look to win once again like they did last time, but he also knows that it is not going to be easy.
Recently Karim Benzema, Ruben Neves, and N’Golo Kante joined the Saudi Pro League, but there are rumors that Edouard Mendy and Hakim Ziyech will also join the league quite soon.
