Manchester United Eyeing Adrien Rabiot Ahead of Rivals as Transfer Window Looms Closer.

Manchester United are targeting Juventus midfielder and France international Adrien Rabiot, as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the transfer window.

Manchester United are reportedly pushing to sign Juventus midfielder and France international Adrien Rabiot in the coming months. The 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of June and has become a priority target for Red Devils manager Erik Ten Hag.

The 2022 World Cup runner-up is one of two potential transfer targets that the Dutchman is keen to secure, with Tottenham forward Harry Kane also key on his shortlist.

Ten Hag is said to have already spoken with Rabiot regarding a potential move and had contact last summer as well – something which L’Équipe reported this afternoon.

Manchester United’s interest in Rabiot follows their failed attempts to sign Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes earlier this year. The club were unsuccessful in their attempts to sign the Portuguese international, and they have now set their sights on Rabiot as a priority signing.

Rabiot has been a regular starter for Juventus since joining them from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019. He has made 74 appearances for the Serie A side, scoring two goals and providing six assists.

Rabiot is held in high regard by many of Europe’s elite clubs and will be a sought-after free agent next summer. He has been called up to the France national team on 43 occasions, including 12 appearances at major tournaments such as Euro 2016 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Rabiot’s potential arrival at Old Trafford could provide a major boost for the Red Devils, especially if he can combine with his international teammate and compatriot Paul Pogba. Manchester United have shown their ambition in the transfer market this season and Rabiot’s acquisition would be another impressive move from Ten Hag.

The transfer window is set to open in the new year, and Manchester United will be hoping to get their hands on Rabiot ahead of their rivals. It could be a busy January for the Red Devils as they look to end the season strongly and make a push for European football.
