Lionel Messi wants to return to Barcelona after asking Al-Hilal to delay the move until 2024

Messi going to play for Barcelona once again after halting the move of Al-Hilal for one more year as he wanted to play for one last time for Barcelona.

Lionel Messi will be leaving Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in the summer after playing his last match, but the transfer between Al-Hilal and Messi took a new turn as now he wants to return to his childhood club Barcelona to play for one season after he asked Al-Hilal to halt the transfer talk for 1 more year.

Messi and his agent met with a Saudi Arabian club delegate on Monday to talk about waiting for 1 more year as he wants to return to F.C. Barcelona, but the Al-Hilal agent said that then the offer of €500-million-per year (£435m/$541m) will not be same and it going to be cut quite more which acceptable for Messi because he wants to return Barcelona for one last time.

Lionel Messi’s father, Jorge Messi, controls his transfer move and negotiation, and he said that Leo wants to return to his club and give all for one last time to fans. Messi is more relaxed after winning the World Cup, but his transfer rumors are more into the hype because of his bad relationship with PSG fans, who booed him in many matches.

“Leo wants to return to Barcelona and I’d love to see him back to Barça. I can say that we are confident — as Barça move is an option for sure. But you will know the future soon,”

Jorge Messi said to media

Lionel Messi is one of the greatest footballers in history, and everyone who played with Messi said this same thing again n again. PSG fans did not like how Messi performed for the club, but they don’t know what he did for it even when it was struggling from the core.

Messi left Barcelona in 2021 as the club was not in any state to give him the same contract value which he was getting in Barcelona for the last 5 years due to Financial Fair Play regulations in La Liga. The biggest reason for that was the Covid hit as all club was told not to allow people to come to the stadium, which turned out to be a big loss for the club because most of the revenue a club generate is from the ticket and merchandisers they sell in a stadium.
