Leicester City star man Harvey Barnes completed his move to Newcastle for around £38m. He left the club with an emotional letter to fans and the club.

Barnes also wrote a letter to Leicester City Football Club, which was quite emotional for him and for the club too as he mentioned that the club was all he had known about as he joined the club at the age of 9 and there he had so many memories together which is why his love for the club is immense.

“I have real mixed emotions as Leicester City is literally all I’ve ever known. I joined the club at the age of 9 and we went on the most amazing journey together, creating memories that I’ll never forget. My life from a boy to a man has always been here. I genuinely love this football club and everyone associated with it.

“I’d like to thank everyone I’ve worked with from my teammates now and over the years, to all of the managers and back room staff I’ve worked with. The time I spent in the club’s academy was really special where I made friends for life.

“I would like to give a special thank you to the owner Aiyawatt (Top) and his family, who has always been so supportive to me and my family. I really appreciate everything you have done for me.

“Personally, and I know words will never do this justice, I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you, the fans. You’ve supported me through all the highs and the lows. I hope you’ve seen that I’ve always given my all for the club. We achieved some magical moments along the way.

“I wish you and this great club all the very best for the future. You will always have a special place in my heart.”

Harvey Barnes said in his Letter to Leicester City F.C.

In the last season, It was Harvey Barnes who was the best in terms of performance for the Leicester City club even though they finished in the 18th spot and got relegated, which is such a disastrous season for the club who won the Premier League title in the 2015/2016 season. He scored 13 goals and gave one assist, which made him only the second player in the last season to reach on two-digit goal tally alongside James Maddison.

Harvey Barnes appeared in 146 Premier League matches for the club, scoring 35 goals, which is a decent record for a good-rating winger. However, the journey to fight for his spot in Leicester City was not easy as he had been loaded to three clubs after he signed for the club in 2017, but after a good performance on his loan duties in 2019, he solidified his place in the starting lineup as he scored a goal against West Ham United on April 20th, 2023 and since then he has been one of the starting 11 for the club.

After giving all to the club, Harvey Barnes decided to move forward with his career. He left the club and joined Newcastle United on a five-year contract going to fight in the Champions League and will be one of the challengers for the Premier League titles.
