Why did David Beckham sack his former Man United Teammate Philip Neville at Inter Miami?
David Beckham sacked Former Manchester United teammate Philip Neville as the head coach of Inter Miami after the New York Red Bulls defeated the team by 1-0 in an MLS match.
Inter Miami is struggling this season, and right now, they are at the bottom of the table with 5 wins and 10 losses which made the club co-owner David Beckham sack Philip Nevill was the head coach of the team in 2021 and 2022, who took the team into playoffs.
David Beckham told the reason why he did that, which was an obvious reason because of the performance his team gave under him in the 2023 season.
“When we appointed Phil we knew he would give Inter Miami his all and I have watched him work incredibly hard and with real commitment towards the ambitions we set out for the club. He and his family embraced Miami and he has devoted himself to the drive to bring success to the city and to our fans.
“Phil has made a real contribution to the culture of our club with his qualities as a leader and knowledge as a coach. Sometimes in this game we have to make the toughest decisions and sadly we feel the time is right to make a change. I want to personally thank Phil for his hard work, his passion for our club and for his integrity as a person.”
David Beckham said in the statement
However, Philip Neville understands the situation, and why he was getting sacked, so he thanked everyone in Inter Miami team for their support and Beckham for backing him till he could else. He would be already been sacked way before.
