Chelsea To Bid Big For Vinicius Junior

Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are all set to make big moves in the transfer window, with Vinicius Junior, Lionel Messi, Mason Mount and Marcus Rashford all linked with lucrative deals.

Chelsea are reportedly planning a major bid for Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain also expressing interest in the Brazilian. The Blues are believed to be willing to pay upwards of €150m for the 20-year-old forward, who has made over 100 appearances for Los Blancos since joining the club in 2018.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are reportedly ready to make Lionel Messi captain should he decide to return to the Catalan giants. The 33-year-old forward is out of contract at the end of this season and has been heavily linked with a move away from Camp Nou. If Messi returns, he will be presented with the captain’s armband in a bid to persuade him to stay at the club.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are unwilling to match Chelsea’s £55m asking price for unsettled midfielder Mason Mount. The Red Devils reportedly view the 22-year-old as too expensive, despite his impressive form since joining from Vitesse Arnhem last summer.

United manager Erik ten Hag has also revealed that both he and Marcus Rashford intend to renew the forward’s contract at Old Trafford. His current deal runs until the end of the 2021-22 season, but an extension is being discussed in order to keep him at the club for longer.

Overall, it looks like a busy summer of transfer activity for Europe’s top clubs, with plenty of big money deals being discussed. Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain all look set to strengthen their squads as they aim to challenge for major honours next season.
