Ireland Women’s football team will be going to play their first-ever FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Australia and New Zealand.

The last time they played any major tournament was in 2009 when they qualified for the Euro 2009 but failed to progress further in the tournament. They were runner-up in the World Cup qualifying group last October when they defeated Scotland by 1-0 in the playoff.

Recently their match against Colombia was called off due to an injury that happened to Denise O’Sullivan. It is going to be hard for her to play the group stage matches now because she went off to hospital after getting tackled on her shin.

Katie McCabe is one of their top players and, together with Denise O’Sullivan, scored 13 goals and gave 11 assists. Ireland Women’s football team is in Group B with Australia, the co-host of the World Cup, Canada, and Nigeria. It is not going to be quite easy for the Ireland Women’s football team to cut through the group and reach the round of 16, but they can do that because they do have some amazing players Amber Barret who did not get many chances in the national squad, but she knows how everything works and is one of the amazing goal scorers in the domestic leagues.

Louise Quinn is one of their best defenders who knows how to move forward and score goals. She is right now one of the most experienced full-backs who defend, give assists and score goals. It takes a lot to qualify for the Round of 16, and even if they do that, they are going to meet England, most probably in the Round of 16.
