All about Colombia Women’s Football Team for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023
Colombia women’s football team secured their place in the upcoming FIFA Women’s world cup in Australia and New Zealand, which will start on July 20th, 2023.
They were not in the last edition of the world cup as they failed to qualify for the 2019 world cup, but in the upcoming 2023 world cup, they found their place after an amazing Copa America Feminina 2022 run in which they went in the finals but lost against Brazil still they gave an amazing performance in the qualifier to secure their place.
Colombian team has some serious talent, and they are going to be stronger in some years because there are lots of young talent that are going to be part of their first world cup, and that will give the foundation for the nation’s women’s team in the future.
They are in Group H with the Republic of Korea, Germany, and Morocco. It is going to be tough for them to qualify for the round of 16 because Germany and the Republic of Korea are the stronger teams, and only two teams are allowed to reach the round of 16 from one group.
Mayra Ramirez is one of the in-form players for the nation, as she scored 14 goals in 27 matches. One of their youngest talents is 20-years old Ingrid Guerra, who has been quite impressive in her 13 appearances for the national team. Colombia did surprise everyone in the Copa America Feminina 2022 after reaching its final, which gives the nation some hope.
