AIFF Aiming to Ensure Optimal Conditions for Players During Upcoming Seasons
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has announced it will focus on scheduling the upcoming seasons in such a way that they avoid the hot summer months. Kalyan Chaubey, president of AIFF, made this statement at the SAFF Championship draw in Mumbai.
According to Mr. Chaubey: “We do not want our players to struggle against the tough weather.” This statement was made with the upcoming 2022-23 Indian football season in mind, which began last year with I-League and Super League and will end on May 19th with Indian Women’s League (IWL).
It is clear that AIFF is dedicated to providing the best possible environment to its players, ensuring that their health and well-being is taken into account while scheduling the season. This goes beyond mere weather considerations, as AIFF’s commitment extends to factor in conditions such as humidity and wind speed.
Moreover, AIFF aims to provide players with better playing surfaces. This will be achieved through a combination of proper maintenance, use of advanced turf technology and improved drainage systems.
The president further emphasized the importance of creating an ideal environment for players: “We want to create the best possible playing conditions so that our players can give their all on the field.”
This move by AIFF will benefit not only the players but also the fans of the sport as it will ensure a higher quality of play. This initiative is part of AIFF’s larger goal to promote the sport of football at the grassroots level and beyond.
