AC Milan Eyeing Move for PSG Outcast Mauro Icardi
Inter Milan’s loanee striker Mauro Icardi looks set to be on his way out of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after one season with the French giants. The 30-year-old Argentine netted 22 goals and seven assists in 24 Super Lig games for the Istanbul outfit, helping them win the league title for the first time in four years.
Icardi is now returning to the French capital, but seemingly has no future at PSG as they are now looking around for buyers for the striker. According to SportMediaset, AC Milan have contacted PSG about a possible move as Icardi carries a €15-20m price tag which could be accessible for the Rossoneri. Although, his €7m net per season wages could prove problematic for the club.
The hint towards Icardi’s intentions came from his wife and agent Wanda Nara who recently tweeted that her family was getting ready to move – something she had hinted at several times before. The tweet sparked speculation as to where their destination might be and it seems a return to Italy is on the cards for Icardi.
Although AC Milan have been linked with the Argentine striker, other Italian clubs such as Juventus and Roma are also reportedly interested in signing him. It remains to be seen if one of these clubs can reach an agreement with PSG over the transfer fee and wages for Icardi, but what has become clear is that his time at the French capital has come to an end.
