SRH vs RCB Match Prediction: Sunrisers Hyderabad will go up against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on May 18th, 2023.
Sunrisers Hyderabad is already out of the IPL season 2023, and now they will be playing for pride. They lost their last match against Gujarat Titans by 34 runs.
The batting unit of Sunrisers Hyderabad once again disappointed the fans and themselves. Except for Heinrich Klaasen, no other batter performed well, and this has been the kind of performance the Hyderabad team gave all over the season, which made them out of the IPL season 2023 early.
The bowling unit did pretty well in the death overs as they restricted the Gujarat Titans to just 188 runs. In the first 12 overs, they gave away 131 runs and took only one wicket, but in the last 8 overs, they gave only 57 runs and took eight wickets which is amazing death bowling by the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar took his 3rd 5 wicket haul in the IPL and was the best bowler of the match, which helped Sunrisers Hyderabad to restrict Gujarat under 200 score.
Royal Challengers Bangalore gave a very strong performance against the Rajasthan Royals in their last match, in which they bowled out the Rajasthan team on 59 and won the match by 112 runs. It was a class bowling from the Royal Challengers Bangalore side, which increased their net run rate after a big win.
Every bowler of Royal Challengers Bangalore took a wicket, but the star bowler was Wayne Parnell, who took 3 wickets in his three overs spell by giving just 10 runs. He is one of the most experienced bowlers of T20 cricket, and RCB should give him more chances in the IPL.
Faf du Plessis once again scored a half-century, and it was his 7th 50+ score the in the IPL season 2023. He is the orange cap holder and, right now, way ahead of everyone else regarding runs.

SRH vs LSG: Pitch Report of Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad
Matches Played | 70 |
Batting first won | 31 |
Batting second won | 39 |
Average 1st innings batting score | 169.5 |
Pace Bowlers Took | 520 Wickets |
Spin Bowlers Took | 221 Wickets |
The last match on this pitch was between Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Lucknow Super Giants, in which spinners played an important role because they were getting turns and the pitch was on the slower side; still, both team batters enjoyed the surface.
The pitch offers everything as spinners, pacers, and batters enjoyed their game in the first match. It is one of the best neutral pitches on which players’ ability will decide their performance, not the pitch going to favor the type of players.
In recent times, the Pitch at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium favored spinners more than batters and pacers. In the last match, Matheww Hayden analyzed the wicket and said that it would be a dry surface which it was.
63 metres and 64 metres are the square boundaries respectively, while the straighter boundary is 73 metres. The wicket looks pretty dry, it’s flat and hard and there won’t be much movement. Looks like a pitch where around 170-180 runs can easily be scored, reckons Hayden.

Team Preview of Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad had two more matches to go, and it is going to be hard for them because they are already out of the tournament of IPL season 2023, but they can use this chance to see check out players who not got any chance in the IPL to play.
There might be many changes in the next match, which is against Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Sunrisers is the team who can knock Royal Challengers out of the IPL if they try to give their best.
Aiden Markram might not captain the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in the next season of IPL because he was not sure about his captaincy, which he said in one of the interviews. He also has not performed well for the team this season, which is also one of the main reasons why the team struggled so much in the middle order.
Henrich Klaasen is one of the players who has been a consistent run scorer for the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. He scored 326 runs in 9 innings he played, and that too on 3rd-4th down for the team.
He’s a great player and I’m very happy for him, the world can see the class and power he’s got. The rest of us haven’t assisted him. It’s tough for him to be on the losing side after performing the way he has.
Aiden Markram on Henrich Klaasen in the post match presentation
Sunrisers Hyderabad need to change their team management and coaches for the next season and give a chance to new players who have not played for the Sunrisers this year of IPL.
Akeal Hosein and Adil Rashid should be given more chances in the IPL because they both are top-class spinners for their representative teams. It was such a waste for the Sunrisers team, who had not given them a chance in the playing XI.
Team Preview of Royal Challengers Bangalore
Royal Challengers Bangalore still have a chance to qualify for the playoffs of IPL 2023 after a very bad first half of the season, but their qualification still depends on other results which should go in their favor.
The bowling unit of RCB stormed through the Rajasthan team in the last match when they bowled them out on just 59 runs. It was a class performance from the bowling unit, which was been performing pretty average in most of the matches.
Royal Challengers Bangalore’s management is one of the worst in the IPL because they never produced any young talent who performed really well and played for his representative country, which clearly shows that RCB is lacking in their management unit.
Mohammed Siraj has been their best bowler of the season as he took 16 wickets in 12 matches, but in the second phase of IPL, he performed pretty badly with the bowling.
Wayne Parnell was amazing in his last match, in which he took 3 wickets and gave away only 10 runs in his 3-overs spell. RCB should have given him more chances to play for the team, but as you know, RCB management is something beyond logic.
The middle order of the RCB has been a total failure all season, and only the top three players performed for the team. Faf du Plessis played a captaincy inning for most of the season and led from the front but other players need to step up now because if they do not, it will be hard for the team to qualify for the playoffs.
Faf du Plessis was happy with the result and the performance of the bowling unit, and he is still thinking of giving a chance to other players.
Really good for our NRR. Tough pitch. We batted first and assessed the conditions. We batted in the powerplay and thought 160 will be a good score. We have had a good set up till the 15th over. But we managed to capitalize on the momentum shift at the end. Great job. Bracewell would want to bowl on this every day of the week. We needed a left-arm spinner. May be Shahbaz could have been an option. Wrist spin could have been an attacking option. Hopefully, we can set it up for the last game at the Chinnaswamy. Today was a good one for the team. They needed this confidence to go into the last two games.
Faf du Plessis said in the Post Match presentation
Bracewell did quite well for the team, and he should have been given more chances this season because he did well in the Newzealand vs India tour, in which he scored in every match and also took wickets.
Royal Challengers need to win their next match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad to stay in the playoffs race, but the team needs to perform together and not depend on just a few players.
