Robin Uthappa praised Shubhman Gill for his sublime form.

Former Indian cricketer and right-handed batter Robin Uthappa recently lauded Subhman Gill for his batting performance. The Gujarat Titans opener in his 13 IPL matches of 2023 has scored 576 runs, including his maiden IPL ton against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The right-handed batter is just behind the current orange cap holder Faf Du Plessis and may surpass him in the coming matches in the number of runs scored by a batter in the league.

Shubhman Gill is in sublime form this year, not just in T20, but he has also performed well in ODIs. At the beginning of this year, while playing against New Zealand, he scored his maiden double ton, which made him the youngest player in the elite group. Continuing his great form, he has so far impressed everyone with his bat, and cricketers, whether former or playing, have praised the skill set of the young batter, and in that list, Robin Uthappa is the new name.

Robin Uthappa, expressing his opinion on the young lad, said that in his perspective he can go as great as Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli if he continues playing like this. He also mentioned the young left-handed batter Yashasvi Jaiswal and praised his way of playing at this young age. Recently, former England legend Kevin Pitersen also praised both of them and said that he wants to see them play for India in the World Cup this year, which is going to happen in India.

I definitely see him having the potential of becoming someone as big as Virat Kohli or Sachin Tendulkar. I certainly think he has got the stuff. He is a phenomenal player who is in exceptional form and is playing some exceptional cricket at the moment,”
