Team Preview of Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore is in the 7th place right now on the points table, winning two matches and losing two in their 4 matches in IPL 2023.

Virat Kohli is in great form and scored three half-centuries at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium Banglore in IPL 2023. He scored 214 runs in 4 matches of IPL till now and will be looking to score more runs in the upcoming matches. The Royal Challengers Bangalore captain is not way behind him as he scored 197 runs in 4 matches but with a better strike rate.

Virat Kohli scored 2955 runs in 92 matches with an average of 38, and also he scored three centuries on this same ground which shows that he is in a different class at his home ground. Faf du Plessis also have a great record on this ground. He scored 296 runs in 7 innings with an average of 74, greater than Virat Kohli, but he does not score big runs.

The biggest positive for Royal Challengers Bangalore team in a match against Delhi Capitals was their pace bowler debutant Vijaykumar Vyshak’s brilliant performance as he picked up Three Wickets in the match. His first wicket was of world-class Australian batsman David Warner who got out on 19 runs after that. He got out the other most inform batter for the Delhi Capital side Axar Patel and his last wicket was Lalit Yadav. If he continues to give this type of performance, then Royal Challengers Bangalore is going to win more matches because their weakness is their bowling unit, as many star bowlers got injured.

Team Preview of Chennai Super Kings

MS Dhoni and his team Chennai Super Kings will be looking to bounce back with a win against the mighty Royal Challengers Bangalore side, who can hurt CSK with their powerful striking abilities.

MS Dhoni was not happy with their middle-order batsmen in the last match, which was told in the post-match.

“I think in the middle overs we needed a bit more strike rotation, there wasn’t much for the spinners but they had experienced spinners and we could not rotate strike. It was not that difficult and the ownership (of the loss) should come from the batters. It was good that we could reach striking distance (of the target) as we were the last pair. It really affects NRR when you get to the last phase of the tournament. You see the field, see the bowler and what the bowler is trying to do, after that just stand still and wait for them to commit the mistake, if they bowl in good areas then good luck to them,” said Dhoni.

Dhoni said in the Post-Match presention on StarSports and Jio Cinema

He also said that bowlers did well in the match to keep Rajasthan Royal’s innings under 180 on the batting-friendly pitch. Tushar Deshpande started to perform better and better in every match, but still, they are finding their 3rd pace bowling option.

Dhoni was also impressed by Chennai Super Kings youngster Akash Singh, who is a left-arm fast-medium bowler and took 2 wickets against the Rajasthan Royals side. Devon Conway scored a great half-century, and with Rahane, they had a great partnership. The match slipped away from them in the middle over when the Rajasthan Royals spin unit picked three wickets back to back.

There might be some changes in the middle order as Dhoni was not happy with them in the last match, but Chennai Super Kings does not have the good bench strength to replace their star players, which is also one of the main issues for the side this season.
