Justin Langer hails Virat Kohli and slams the BCCI for its unfair treatment.

Australia legend and former coach of the Australian side, Justin Langer, who is now sharing his voice with the commentary panel in the commentary box of the WTC final, praised Indian star batter Virat Kohli for his passion, aggression, and batting. While doing the commentary in the WTC final (2021–23), Day 1, Justin Langer commended the former Indian captain, Virat Kohli, for his passion for the sport, and adding to that, he criticized the BCCI’s decision to remove Virat Kohli from the captaincy of the Indian cricket team. Langer was in awe of the former captain’s work ethics and the aggression he brings to the field.

His words while praising Virat Kohli were:

“Loved his (Virat Kohli) aggression. BCCI did injustice to him, and I do not want to hear anything else. If he wanted to keep the ODI captaincy, he should have been allowed to do that out of respect,”

“There was nothing I didn’t like about Virat Kohli. His aggression, his passion, his batting. He was an amazing captain,”

India and Australia are now clashing in the final of the WTC (2021-23), and at the end of Day 1, Australia were 327-3. Rohit Sharma and Co. were on the back foot, but the team can bounce back anytime. Australia is playing its first ICC WTC final, while India is in the final of the test event for the second consecutive time. Earlier, the Indian team clashed with New Zealand in the final of the WTC (2019–21), but the Virat Kohli-led team got defeated by 8 wickets, but this time India has the opportunity to seal the victory and end the decade-long ICC trophy drought. Rohit Sharma has the potential to lead the team to their ICC victory only if the Indian side plays with full potential, as both the batting and bowling line-ups are looking strong, but they need to give the required outputs.
