James Anderson and Ollie Robinson would miss Ireland Test due to Injury.

There is a big update on England’s James Anderson and Ollie Robinson’s fitness before England’s one-off test match with Ireland, which is going to happen at Lords on June 1. All-rounder Ollie Robinson hurt his Achilles tendon while playing for Sussex in the county championship last week, and pacer James Anderson strained his groin. They both are recovering, but they won’t be playing the one-off test match against Ireland so that they could play the Ashes series 2023, which would start on June 16. Pacer Jofra Archer is already suffering from an elbow problem and skipped the IPL in the middle of this summer.

James Anderson and Ollie Robinson are taking rest to recover properly so that they can participate in the Ashes in a fit and fresh mode. England’s other star player, Ben Stokes, is suffering from a knee injury and has played only two matches in the entire IPL season. England’s coach, Brendon McCullum, showed confidence in the players and said that they would be fit to play the Ashes this year. It can be seen by looking at the previous test match records of England’s team, where the team defeated New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa. They are following an aggressive approach, and it is working so far pretty well.

“For the first Ashes Test, I think (Anderson and Robinson) should be fit. They won’t be fit for this one against Ireland. We’ll just have to monitor it over this next sort of while, but we’ve got some great options right throughout the squad. Stokesy (Ben Stokes) is progressing well too,”

“He looks really fit as well, looks in great order and has a big smile on his face. He is delighted to be back around the group and as our leader, having that sort of energy he brings is fantastic, so again we’ll monitor that and see what happens. I think he’ll bowl at some stage throughout the summer, yeah, no doubt. He is a world-class allrounder and if he is able to bowl, fantastic. If not, we’ll find a way,”
