BCCI announced India’s squad for T20I, Rinku Singh not included,
BCCI has announced much awaited India’s 15 member squad for T20I against West Indies, team India is going to play 5 T20I against the Caribbeans to nurture young talents some new names are included in the squad but Rinku Singh didn’t get the chance to don the blue jersey despite his incredible performance in the IPL 2023 where he played some magnificent innings for the his team Kolkata knight Riders and pulled out some unbelievable wins for his team, Rinku Singh will not be a part of 15 member squad though youngster Tilak Verma got the opportunity to be in the team for the T20I series due to his performance for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2023 where he quickly scored runs whenever required.
Surya Kumar Yadav would be the deputy of Hardik Pandya. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are out of the T20 squad; the duo haven’t played any T20I matches after India’s defeat in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022. India last played a T20I in February 2023 against New Zealand, in which they beat New Zealand. Since then, Indian players have played a lot of T20 matches thanks to the IPL, but now the team has to play against the West Indies, who are now out of the ICC qualifiers for 2023. Yashasvi Jaiswal has earned a spot in the squad after getting a place in the Test squad. The youngster got his spot in the T20 squad due to his great batting skills that he showed in the IPL 2023. Mukesh Kumar and pacer Umran Malik are also included, along with three wrist spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Singh, and Ravi Bishnoi.
