ICC World Cup 2023 Schedule is out, India to play against Pakistan on 15th October:
The apex cricket governing body ICC has released the long-awaited ICC World Cup 2023 Schedule for the upcoming World Cup 2023 going to happen in India. This time the whole tournament would be organized by India alone. Earlier, India had organized the event three times, all as co-hosts. The latest one was in 2011, where India lifted the ICC World Cup for the second time, but this year the whole tournament would be organized by India at 10 venues across the country. India’s first World Cup 2023 match would be against Australia on October 8 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. India would be seen in action against arch rival Pakistan on October 15 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
There are a total of 10 teams that are going to fight for the World title; eight teams have already qualified for the ICC World Cup 2023, and the rest, two teams, would be selected after the end of the ICC qualifiers 2023 matches, which are currently happening in Zimbabwe. A total of 10 teams are fighting in the qualifiers matches to lock their spot for the ICC World Cup 2023, and only two teams would get the spot in the ICC World Cup 2023 tournament. ICC World Cup 2019 winners England would be seen trying to retain the ICC title, while host India has an advantage over everyone else as the pitch conditions will favor the Indian players, so it is a golden opportunity for India to lift the ICC title again.
