She has now equaled Rohit Sharma’s record of four golden ducks as a captain in T20Is. Apart from that, Harmanpreet Kaur also surpassed Smriti Mandhana in number of ducks by getting out for the sixth time on a duck in an International match. So far, Smriti has gotten five ducks. Her innings earned him the player of the match award, and the cherry on top was that she has improved her rankings by four spots, and now she is in 10th place in the ICC rankings. India’s women’s team vice captain Smriti Mandhana is in the 3rd spot of the rankings, and Tahlia McGrath of Australia is topping the chart, apart from these two renowned Indian players. Deepti Sharma is in the third spot in the T20I bowler’s rankings.
Indian batters failed to perform in the second T20I match against Bangladesh and managed to score only 95 runs in the match, though they won the match by 8 runs and sealed the series. As far as the performance of the batters in the match is concerned, it was not optimal, and India would be looking for a clean sweep in the third match of the T20I series.
