GT IPL 2023: The defending champion Gujarat Titans will look to retain their first IPL title this year as they are one of the best balances. They won the IPL title in their first season, which is an amazing achievement by them and a great captaincy by Hardik Pandya.

- K.S. Bharat was brought in for 1.2 Crore to fill the role of Wicketkeeping as Mathew Wade is not a reliable pick for the Gujarat Titans side.
- Odean Smith was the only All-Rounder that Gujarat Titans (GT) brought. The West Indies bowling All-Rounder cost just 50 lahks whereas, in his previous season, he was sold for 6.00 Crore to Punjab Kings but failed to perform for them.
- The Ireland left-arm pace bowler Joshua Little was picked by Gujarat Titans (GT) for 4.4 Crore.
- Mohit Sharma was the last player that Gujarat Titans (GT) picked 50 lahks.

Gujarat Titans’ balanced team combination is their real strength and relying more on their talented domestic players is one of the reasons why they became the champion in IPL 2022. Shubhman Gill Form
Shubhman Gill will be the crucial player for the Gujarat Titans as he is in the form of his life right now, scoring centuries in every format. He scored 567 runs in 6 ODI matches in 2023 with an average of 113 and in T20, he scored 202 runs in 6 matches with an average of 40 which is really great in the T20 format.
Kane Williamson’s experience will give more stability to their Batting Lineup
Gujarat Titans last year had a bit of trouble with the middle order and that’s why they brought Kane Williamson into the auction, who can take control of the situation if there is a collapse in the top order. Hardik Pandya’s captaincy is one of the biggest strengths of the Gujarat Titan’s side. He clinched the IPL trophy in his first season and showed why he is the right choice as a captain. He also became captain of the Indian Cricket Team in T20 and won the T20 series against South Africa and Sri Lanka in the home series. His batting average also increased when he played the match as a captain.

Mohammed Shami, Alzarri Joseph and now Shivam Mavi will take charge of their bowling department. Shivam Mavi showed his potential in the match against Sri Lanka in the home T20 series. Last year because of Tewatia, they won a few very close matches, and this season also, they will look up to Rahul Tewatia.
GT IPL 2023: Gujarat Titans Weakness:
Gujarat Titan actually doesn’t have any major weakness this season. The only thing which can be a problem for them is their fast bowling unit, as Joshu Little is already out of the IPL and Shami can’t play every match of the IPL for them because of his fitness and age.
Yash Dayal and Alzarri Joseph will be key bowlers but if they fail, then it will be a huge problem for the Gujarat Titans (GT). Rashid Khan is the only major spin bowler for the side other than him, and Noor Ahmad is another spin bowler for them.
Hardik Pandya’s fitness issue can be a weakness for the Gujarat Titans (GT) as he is not a player who can play every match or bowl 4 overs in every match of IPL.

They are the current IPL Champions and can defend the championship title this year if they all play like they did in the previous year. They don’t have any injuries other than Joshu Little and have great depth in every department.
Their Batting unit is one of the best in the IPL this season and after signing Kane Williamson to their side, they look more settled team right now. Hardik Pandya’s faith and confidence in his players is one of the positives for the side and can be the reason to win the IPL trophy again.
