Sunrisers Hyderabad will once again face Delhi Capitals in the reverse fixture after losing against them in their first encounter of Tata IPL 2023. It was their third loss in a row, which will make it very hard for them to qualify for the playoffs.
They need to work as one unit and need some changes in the next match so they can win the match against the team who defeated them in their previous match. Aiden Markram needs to show more intent and give confidence to his players. Delhi Capitals are still at the bottom of the table after winning two back-to-back matches, but if they win their next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, then they are going to be above Sunrisers, and it will give them a huge boost.
David Warner had an emotional return to his former team, and he said it in front of his former fans at the home ground and in a post-match conference.
“I love it here. It’s an amazing crowd. I haven’t been here for a long time. Thankfully my hair can only go white from here, it can’t go gray. This game throws up some challenges. Mukesh there under pressure was absolutely amazing and our two spinners were great. You don’t want them to get used to bowlers in back-to-back bowlers so if I can maneuver them around in the middle overs it can work.”

Delhi Capitals needs technical batsmen more than power hitters, but still, the team is not able to get better in the batting department. The bowlers are doing a great job for the Delhi Capitals team as they are able to restrict most of the team to decent or low scores, but the main issue is their batting side, who are not able to chase decent totals.
Delhi Capitals gave Philip Salt a chance to open after Prithvi Shaw failed to score runs in the first 6 matches of the IPL 2023, but the result of playing Philip Salt as an opener failed, and he got out on his first ball against Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Sarfaraz Khan once again did not score in his previous match, and now he has scored 44 runs in three matches, which is unacceptable if you are playing in the IPL. He has been performing well in the domestic circuit but never got a chance in the Indian teams, which made many people question the selection committee. Now when he gets the chance, he is not scoring at all, which is going to shut many people mouth who favor Sarfaraz Khan, but in this era of modern cricket, a player first need to be fully fit, which Sarfaraz is not.

If the pitch is going to favor the spinner and on the slower side, then Delhi Capitals will be more comfortable to play, and they will be confident to play once again against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, whom they beat previously.

The middle order is their issue, who are not scoring runs, and once again, Rahul Tripathi failed to score runs and got out on 15 runs. Until now, he only played one good knock in the season against the Punjab Kings, scoring 74 runs in 48 balls.
The bowling unit is doing fine but not great still, and they are performing better than the batting department, which is one of the good news for them. Aiden Markram needs to step up as a captain and should open by himself because it is a suitable place for his batting style, but they are still giving a chance to Harry Brook, who did not accept his one-century innings.
If the pitch of Arun Jaitly stadium offers a turn, then they should not let Harry Brook play because he is not a good player of spin and also he has not been in good form. Aiden Markram accepted that they did not have the right intent to win the match, which need to be changed.
“Not good with the bat. Not enough intent, not excited to win a game of cricket, unfortunately. We have to go back and see how we can be free and be better. It is difficult, you can say all the right things but guys have to buy into it. We want to play a certain brand of cricket and if we get it wrong doing that then we’ll sleep a lot better at night.”
