CSK vs KKR highlights IPL 2023: CSK, after winning the toss, came to bat with the usual openers of its team, Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Gaikwad looked good in the beginning, but in the 4th over, while trying to play another sweep shot in the over of Varun Chakaravarthy, he got caught at short third man by Vaibhav Arora. The first wicket of CSK fell at 31 runs. Ajinkya Rahane walked to the crease; he had played some impressive innings in some of the previous matches and started in that fashion, but the innings was short-lived, and Varun Chakaravarthy took his wicket as well.
After the fall of the third wicket, Ambati Rayudu tried scoring some runs but only managed to score 4 runs in 7 balls, and Sunil Narine took his wicket, in the same over Moeen Ali was also dismissed by him, and CSK were 72-5 in 11 overs. Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja slowly accelerated the score, and both managed to drag their team to a score of 140 runs when Jadeja, in the last over, got caught at third man.

MS Dhoni after losing the match:
The minute we bowled the first ball in the second innings, we knew we needed 180. But there was no way we could have got 180 on that pitch. The dew made a big difference in the second innings. We can’t really blame any of our bowlers. Just that the conditions had a big impact on the game. Very happy with what Shivam has done, but important that he is not satisfied and keeps improving. Chahar swings the ball, he knows what fields to take, and he bowls accordingly.
Rinku Singh after getting Player of the match award:
Lost some wickets early. When I went in, Nitish bhaiya (brother) said it’s a tough wicket. Will knock it around for singles and capitalise on loose balls. I bat in the same position in domestic cricket, play the same way. I eat well, have always had the power. A lot of hard work behind it.
