10th Match of IPL 2023: LSG vs SRH

The Lucknow Super Giants have had quite an eventful start to their IPL 2023 journey. In their first match against the Delhi Capitals, they came out with guns blazing as Mark Wood and Kyle Mayers showcased their explosive power. Wood’s 5-wicket haul was a treat to watch, and Mayers’ batting was simply outstanding as he scored 73 runs off just 38 balls. However, in their second match against the formidable Chennai Super Kings, luck was not on their side as they lost the match by 12 runs in a high-scoring encounter. Although Mayers once again scored a half-century, the team’s top-order batters failed to make an impact. Mark Wood’s 3-wicket haul was impressive, but the team’s death bowling is certainly a concern that they need to address soon.

After a disappointing start to their campaign, SunRisers Hyderabad will look to bounce back in their upcoming match against Lucknow Super Giants. The team looked uncharacteristically off their game in their first match against Rajasthan Royals, losing by a massive 72 runs. However, the team will have the much-needed boost of their South African trio, Aiden Markram, Marco Jansen, and Henrich Klassen, who will be joining the side for their next encounter. With Markram at the helm as captain, the SunRisers will be hoping to turn their fortunes around and put up a strong performance. It’s early days yet, and there’s still plenty of time for the team to make their mark in this year’s tournament.
