UFC 294: Big fights announced for October Islam Makhachev vs Charles Oliveira, Khamzat Chimaev vs Paulo Costa.

After so many days, UFC finally announced big fights for UFC 294 where the lightweight champion Islam Makhachev would be seen defending his title against Charles Oliveira. Both fighters would be facing each other for the second time. These two fighters last faced each other in October 2022 in a lightweight title fight, and Islam Makhachev dominated the match, finishing Charles Oliveira by submission. Since then, Islam Makhachev has fought once with Alexander Volkanoski and won that fight with a unanimous decision. In another fight, “The Borz,” Khamzat Chimaev, would be seen in the octagon against Borrachinha,” Paulo Costa.

Islam Makhachev continued his winning streak by taking it to 12 after defeating Alexander Volkanoski at UFC 284. Charles Oliveira defeated Beneil Dariush in his last fight to announce his comeback, and everyone was expecting a rematch between him and Islam, but earlier from Oliveira there was some resistance to fighting Islam next due to some injury, but now it has been announced that both fighters would be entertaining the fight fans at Abu Dhabi.

In the last few weeks, Paulo Costa and Khamzat Chimaev have been exchanging words on social media, and fans were expecting a fight between them after Paulo Costa pulled himself from UFC 291 where he was supposed to fight Ikram Aliskerov. Now, the decision of pulling back from the fight makes sense as he will be fighting the borz. Both fighters don’t like each other, as it is clear from their previous faceoffs outside the cage.

Ikram Aliskerov, who was supposed to fight Paulo Costa, will now be seen in the octagon at UFC 294 where he will be fighting middleweight contender Nassourdine Imavov. October will be a treat for fight fans, and after the official announcement by UFC president Dana White, who looked much more interested in the high-intensity matchups, the fighters will start training with their teams.
