“I always love to see that dude get broken.” Justin Gaethje on Conor McGregor

Justin “the highlight” Gaethje is one of the most exciting and hard-hitting fighters to ever enter the octagon, and recently on DC & RC, the highlight (Justin Gaethje) and the diamond (Dustin Poirier) are going to fight each other at UFC 291. The upcoming pay-per-view event is scheduled for July 29 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Dustin Poirier won his last fight against Michael Chandler at UFC 281, where he won the fight following a submission by Michael Chandler, but for Gaethje, the fights that he liked above all were those where Dustin Poirier knocked out Conor McGregor.

When the two fighters locked horns last time, Dustin Poirier won the fight in the fourth round by knocking out Justin Gaethje, and soon both of them will be seen inside the octagon for the main event in the month of July in the light weight category. Gaetjhe, in his most recent UFC fight, came out victorious; he beat Rafael Fiziev at UFC 286 and won the fight with a majority decision.

Justin Gaethje said that if he wins the fight at UFC 291, he will be challenging the current UFC light weight champion of the world, Islam Makhachev, who recently defended his light weight title against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 284.

“Tons of respect for the dude. He’s a dog, and what he’s done to [Conor] McGregor the last couple fights was super impressive. I always love to see that dude get broken.

“I know that there’s no need for animosity. We’re two of the best, most violent athletes in the sport. We both love what we do. We both love the carnage and we’re both content with what we’re about to put ourselves through. It’s all preparation. He’s super confident. I’m super confident coming off this last win. And again, this card is stacked. It’s going to be an electric night.”
