Miami Heat Overcome Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of NBA Finals Thanks to Duncan Robinson Surge.

Duncan Robinson's fourth-quarter surge led the Miami Heat to an 111-108 Game 2 win over the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals, tying the series 1-1.

Duncan Robinson sparked a fourth-quarter surge for the Miami Heat as they rallied to claim an 111-108 win against the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday. With the series now tied at 1-1, both teams will head to Miami for Wednesday’s game with everything still to play for.

At the start of the fourth quarter, Denver had an 83-75 lead over Miami, largely thanks to Nikola Jokić’s 18 points in the third period. Robinson, however, was scoreless going into the final stanza but quickly changed that with an 8-2 run which reduced Denver’s lead to just two points. This was followed by a 12-0 Miami run which saw them take the lead and they never looked back.

Robinson ended with 18 points, including five 3-pointers, while Jimmy Butler led all scorers with 25 points for the Heat. Bam Adebayo added 20 points and 14 rebounds in another strong performance. Jokić had 28 points and 14 rebounds for Denver as Jamal Murray totalled 22 points, but it was not enough to hold off the Heat’s surge.

The victory gives Miami a much needed boost heading into the rest of the Finals, and they now have home court advantage for Game 3. Denver will look to regroup and regain their composure before the next game, and will need to focus on containing Robinson’s shooting if they are to take back the initiative.
