Indian badminton men's doubles pair Satwik Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty jump one spot to reach career-best world rank of 4 in latest BWF rankings.

The Indian badminton men’s doubles pair of Satwik Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have reached a career-best world rank of 4 in the latest BWF rankings released on Tuesday. After skipping last week’s Malaysia Masters, their steady rise has been rewarded with a jump of one spot.

Their success is due to their hard work and dedication, which was seen in the Badminton Asia Championships recently. The duo have been on a constant rise since then and are looking forward to making a mark at the Thailand Masters next week.

The Indian shuttlers have seen some significant changes in the rankings with HS Prannoy joining the top 10 after winning his first BWF title last week. He climbed two spots to become world number 8 after defeating Singapore’s Loh Kean Yew in the final of Syed Modi International. The women’s singles category also saw some movement, with Saina Nehwal climbing three spots to reach world rank 11 and PV Sindhu jumping four places to become world number 7.

Apart from the men’s doubles pair, Sourabh Verma and Subhankar Dey also made some strides in their respective categories. In men’s singles, Verma climbed two spots to reach world rank 19 while Subhankar jumped four places to become 34th in the rankings. The women’s doubles pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy also made some gains, climbing one spot to reach world rank 15.

All these rankings are sure to have a positive impact on the Indian shuttlers’ confidence as they gear up for Thailand Masters and the upcoming All England Open.
