Badminton Canada Open 2023: Results on Day 2, PV Sindhu had a dominating win in Round 32

Canada Open 2023 day 2 ended with some good news from India's badminton players and some bad results from the players.

India had a great day 1 at Canada Open 2023 after giving some amazing performances, but on Day 2nd of the tournament, some Indians suffered defeats in the round of 32.

Lakshya Sen, the Indian badminton player, won in a straight set against Kunlavut Vitidsarn by 21-18, 21-15 after giving an amazing textbook performance with very few errors and taking his time to decide when to strike.

Ruthvika Shivani lost her match against Supanida Katethong, who is a top-level Thailand badminton player, by 12-21, 3-21. It was quite a drastic defeat, and because of this performance, Shivani needs to improve a lot.

PV Sindhu had a dominating match against a Canadian player Talia NG as she won in a straight set by 21-16, 21-9 to reach the round of 16. In the next round, she is going to play against Japan quick feet player Natsuki Nidaira who also come into the match after winning in a straight set against Canadian player R. Chan.

In the Men’s category B Sai Praneeth suffered a defeat against Brazilian player Y. Coelho de Oliveira in a straight set by 12-21, 17-21.

Now only one player in the men’s category is left in the Canada Open, Lakshya Sen, who is going to play against the same opponent who defeated his countrymen in the round of 32, Y. Coelho de Oliveira.

In Men’s Double V. Goud Panjala/ K. Prasad Garaga won against Chen Zhi Ray/ Lu Chen in a straight set of 21-14, 21-16 to go into the next round to play against H. Setiawan/ M. Ahsan in the round of 16 and it is going to be quite tough for the duo to win against the top seeder like them.

It is going to be an exciting day 3 of the Canada Open 2023 in which many star badminton players going to be in the round of 16 and some players will watch the match from the tv screen after the exit in the round of 32.
