Mumbai Indians lost their previous match against Punjab Kings, who first put in a huge total of 214 runs and then defended it. Punjab Kings batsmen have smashed Mumbai Indians bowlers, and the bowler who conceded the most run was Arjun Tendulkar. He conceded 48 runs in just 3 overs which is way more expensive.

In the first match at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, a red soil wicket was chosen for the match as BCCI wanted the IPL opening match to be high scoring. There was a bit of grass on the pitch to give some swing movement for the pacers and also to hold the pitch together.

Cameron Green once again justified his price tag and gave the best performance of the match. He took 2 wickets and scored 67 runs but still lost. Due to that, he did not get the Player of the Match award.
The big positive for the team was Suryakumar Yadav’s knock of 57 of 26, which came after soo long as he was going through a bad phase in his career, but he hopes it ends hair and he will be looking for a better match against the Gujarat Titans.
Making Tilak Verma bat in the lower down is not working for Mumbai Indians, and they should give a thought about it because he is not the player who will start striking from the first ball. He takes his time to settle down and then strikes the ball well, just somewhere like Rohit Sharma.
