SunRisers Hyderabad has had a rollercoaster ride till now in IPL and is right now at the 2nd last in the points table, winning 2 matches and losing 3 matches out of five. It is going to be very tough for them to get a win at Chennai Super King’s home ground (Chepauk Stadium).
Aiden Markram is not looking like a great fit as a captain of the SunRisers Hyderabad because, during the matches, he looks a bit confused about picking the right bowler at the right time, and the batting unit is not really striking the ball well, specially Mayank Agarwal.
Mayank Agarwal has so much talent, and he showed it in international and IPL matches, but this year, he is looking not to hit the ball much. The one-match wonder Harry Brook once again shut himself up rather than shutting the Indians fans who were trolling him for the bad performance.
Harry Brook, till now, just had one great inning of 100. Besides that, he looked like a test batsman who just didn’t know how to play T20 matches. He is a great test match player and will be a great ODI player too, but in T20, he looks no way near to a fit.
Heinrich Klaasen should be promoted to the top order because his form has been amazing in the past year, but SunRisers Hyderabad is not giving him a chance at the top order.
Adil Rashid can come into the team because the Chepauk Stadium favors spinners more than pace bowlers, and Rashid is one of the best T20 spinners.
They need to find a way to make Glenn Phillips in a playing XI because he is a great player of the format. He can also bowl spin if needed. He is one of the best fielders right now in the world, and also he played 59 T20 matches in which he scored 1385 runs with an average of 31.5. He also has a great hitting ability which shows in his strike rate, which is 144, but till now, he failed to show the class in IPL though he got very few chances.
