Ravindra Jadeja was born as “Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja” on December 6, 1988, in Jamnagar, Gujarat. He is the youngest of his siblings and has two older sisters. From the very young age of 10, he started playing cricket, but his father wanted him to be an army officer, though his mother persuaded his father to let their son achieve his dreams. He was closely associated with his mother, who worked as a nurse in a government hospital back then, after her demise, which happened nearly two weeks before he got selected for the India U-19 cricket team.

He thought of quitting cricket forever after going through the emotional breakdown, but his family encouraged him to fight the odds with strength and courage to become a successful cricketer.

When the Indian Premier League was launched back in 2008, Ravindra Jadeja became part of the Rajasthan Royals squad. The team later became the maiden trophy winner, and Jadeja became such a crucial pillar of the Rajasthan Royals squad that even the King of Spin, Shane Warne, didn’t back himself in calling him “Rockstar Jadeja”.
