SRH VS RR IPL 2023: SunRisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals, 4th IPL Match Preview
SRH VS RR IPL 2023: SunRisers Hyderabad will go against Rajasthan Royals in the 4th match of IPL at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on April 2nd and the match will start at 3:30 PM/IST. Sanju Samson will be charged up to prove his worth in T20 as he was not picked in the recent International T20 matches for Indian Cricket Team due to his inconsistent performance. Last year Rajasthan Royal had a great campaign in which they reached the final of IPL 2022 but lost in the final against Gujarat Titans.
SunRisers Hyderabad will go into the match without their first-choice captain Aiden Makram and will be looking to forget their last season as they performed badly but this year, they recruited some young guns and experienced players into their side to give their team strength.
Team Preview of Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals is one of the most balanced sides this year also and will be looking to take one more step to clinch the IPL title, which they failed to get last year. They picked some experienced players to their side in the 2023 IPL Auction in Koichi. Jason Holder bought in for 5.75 crores, and Joe Root will go to fill their number 3-4 spot, which they struggled with last year. They used Ashwin when their two top orders batsmen got out early. Adam Zampa is also one of the T20 specialist bowlers in their team this year.
Rajasthan Royal’s batting is exceptional as they have Jos Buttler, who was the orange cap holder in the last edition of the ipl as he scored a whopping 863 runs in just 17 inngins with an average of 57. We might see some changes in the Top order as Yashasvi Jaiswal cannot score runs with a high strike rate. Devdutt Padikal should be given a chance to open with butter as on 1st down, Joe Root can come in if needed, or else Sanju Samson can be the player for them and in 2nd down, you are going to see the explosive batsman Shimron Hetmyer.
In the bowling department, Yuzvendra Chahal was superb for them last year as he got the purple cap for the most number of wickets, 27 in 17 matches

Team Preview of SunRisers Hyderabad
SunRisers Hyderabad had a disappointing last season as they finished 8th in the table, winning 6 out of 14 matches. They are going to miss their newly appointed captain Aiden Markram in the first match as he is on International duty for South Africa. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be the team’s captain in the first match as he has done captaincy before also.
SRH did bid high for Mayank Agarwal to get his service as the opener. They paid 8.25 crore for him and 5.25 for Heinrich Klaasen. Mayank had a very poor last season as he scored only 196 runs in 12 innings with an average of 16 which was surprising as he was performing well in his previous 3-4 seasons. SunRisers Hyderabad also bought Heinrich Klaasen, and Akeal Hosein, to their side to strengthen the bench for any replacement if they need it in the future.
In the first match, Sunrisers Hyderabad will not be with their best playing lineup as all three South Africans are out from this match, so it is going to be tough for them in the first match but if they want to pull it off, then their team have to play as one.
