The Four Time Indian Premier League winners Chennai Super Kings will play against the last year’s IPL champion Gujarat Titans and will be looking to start their campaign with a win. The Second match played between these teams was on May 15, 2022, at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India. Gujarat won that match easily by 7 wickets, in which Wriddhiman Saha got the player of the match for his amazing performance. He scored 67 runs in 57 balls and took two catches behind the stump. Mohammad Shami took 2wickets in that match. From the Chennai Super Kings side, Ruturaj Gaikwad was the one good performer in the match, scoring 53 runs in 49 balls.

Ben Stokes (Chennai Super Kings)

Shubman Gill was one of the main reasons why Gujarat Titan won the title last year. He scored 483 runs in 16 matches with an average of 34. He got four Half-Centuries and always gave the best start to his team. In 2022 Shubhman Gill till now having the best form of his life as he scored a double century in ODI against New Zealand.
Ruturaj Gaikwad
Ruturaj Gaikwad was one of the best players from Chennai Super Kings last season as he scored 368 runs with an average of 26 and in both matches against Gujarat Titans, he performed well as in the first match, he scored 73 runs in 48 balls and in 2nd match he scored 53 runs in 49 balls. He has been one of the most consistent batsmen for CSK for the last 3 seasons. He played 36 IPL matches in which he scored 1207 runs with an average of 37.
