Pakistani Players, who played in IPL?
Pakistani players have been banned from playing in the world’s biggest T20 league Indian Premier (IPL), since 2008. The main reason for that is because of the 2008 Mumbai attack by the terrorist and since then, Pakistani Players being banned from the IPL.
In 2009 the Pakistani Government allowed the players to play in the IPL but BCCI and the Indian government clearly denied that they don’t want any Pakistani Players in IPL and recently, they even refused to go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.
Both BCCI and PCB authorities argued during the recently held ACC meeting about who should get to host the event. The Asia Cup will be shifted out of Pakistan, as stated publicly by BCCI Secretary and ACC President Jay Shah.
It did not go over well with the Pakistan Cricket Board or the nation’s struggling economy. Both the current PCB chairman Najam Sethi and the previous PCB chief Ramiz Raja criticized Shah for his comments. Rohit Sharma and the company won’t visit Pakistan, though, as the BCCI has made very plain.
Many Pakistani cricketers participated in the IPL’s first season. However, the horrific 26/11 attacks followed, in which 10 attackers kept Mumbai, hostage for nearly 3 days. They carried out unparalleled levels of murder, bombing, and arson.
Pakistani players were prohibited from competing in the IPL as a result of the deteriorating relations between the two nations as a result of this. The attack’s perpetrators and organizers are still at large in Pakistan. This wasn’t the first time Pakistan had used terrorists to strike India.
