Not selecting Mbappe in pre-season backfired for Paris Saint Germain as Union planned to take legal action against the club

(UNFP) warned the club that they would take legal against (PSG) because of the behavior that the club is showing towards the Mbappe.

The Kylian Mbappe saga is still on, but it took some turn in favor of Mbappe as the National Union of Professional Footballers (UNFP) warned the club that they would take legal against Paris Saint Germain (PSG) because of the behavior that the club is showing towards the French superstar.

Mbappe already made his decision clear that he will not extend his contract as he wants to leave the club because of no plans or any solid future projects as many top players like Lionel Messi left the club because of the bad behavior of the club management.

Paris Saint Germain also doesn’t want to continue with Mbappe and wants to sell him in the summer because he will be a free agent next year, which the club does not want as they think they will lose at least 200 million euros. Real Madrid is the favorite to get the player, but they are not in a hurry because they can wait for one more year to sign Mbappe on a free transfer; PSG club is doing everything they can to sell Mbappe this summer.

The UNFP accused Ligue 1 champion PSG of violating French labor laws by putting Mbappe in tough situations and not making him play in the club matches just because he desired to leave the club next year.

“The UNFP feels it would be useful to remind managers that putting pressure on an employee – via the deterioration of their working conditions, for example – to force them to leave or accept what the employer wants constitutes moral harassment, which French law firmly condemns. So, yes, the UNFP reserves the right to take civil and criminal action against any club that behaves in this way.”

UNFP said in the press

Kylian Mbappe will be free from June 30, 2024, as he denied the extension which was in his last contract, but now the club owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi was too bold in the interview on Mbappe topic as he said in the past 5 years, all the club who won the Champions League does not have Mbappe in their team so we can also win without him which is quite a bold comment by the owner which might hurt Kylian emotionally because he gave so much for the club and country. In return, he is treated like this because his desire is different from the club owner’s is totally wrong, so UNFP came up with the action.
