“If we get the opportunity to play them three times, I think that is fantastic” Rahul Dravid on Ind vs Pak clash in Asia Cup 2023.

After months of tug of war between ACC and PCB, finally the Asia Cup 2023 schedule is out, and Pakistan and Sri Lankaill be hosting the continental event jointly. The eyes of cricket fans were on the India-Pakistan match, and as per the schedule, India will start its Asia Cup journey on September 2, clashing with arch rivals Pakistan. Both teams are in group A of the tournament, including Nepal, and if both Pakistan and India make it to the Super 4s and the final, then that would be massive for both Indian and Pakistani fans as they would get to see the high intensity match three times in a single event.

Legendary cricketer and current Indian Cricket Team head coach Rahul Dravid is also excited to see the clash between these two teams and shared his approach for these intense matches by “focusing on one game at a time”. Rahul Dravid is now guiding Team India for their second test and has dropped his opinion on the Asia Cup 2023 India vs. Pakistan match.

“The schedule is out and you have to qualify for the Super4s to play Pakistan three times, so one step at a time. I don’t believe in counting my chickens too much. I want to play one game at a time”

Rahul Dravid said

“We know we have to play Pakistan and Nepal in the first two games, we need to focus on that, we need to play good cricket, we need to win those games and then see where the tournament goes. If we get the opportunity to play them three times, I think that is fantastic, that means we reach the final of the tournament and hopefully Pakistan reach the final as well. That will be a great contest and great for us and we certainly aim to do that, we certainly want to play right up to the final and win that final but we have to take the first two steps before”
