Paulo Costa after UFC 291 pull out likely gets a huge name for his next fight.
Paulo Costa recently pulled out of UFC 291 that has only a few weeks remaining. UFC 291 would be happening at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Paulo Costa was supposed to fight Ikram Aliskerov, who has only fought once in the UFC so far at UFC 288. The Russian is on a six-fight win streak, and a fight between the Russian and “Borrachinha” would have been a treat to watch for the fight fans, but unfortunately the face-off would not happen now. There is no certain clarity on why Costa’s pulling out from the fight, but there are rumors that Paulo Costa has booked a huge name for his next fight, and that is the reason for his pulling out from the UFC 291.
The Brazilian middleweight contender recently posted a tweet on his Twitter account that puzzled the fans. He posted a message saying “Pauli is smart enough”. After a Twitter user named @MMAPauli posted a picture of Paulo Costa and Khamzat Chimaev with a message,
Paulo Costa fight is off because he’s fighting Khamzat Chimaev in Abu Dhabi. #UFC294

The tweet by “Borrachinha” left fight fans believing that the big UFC fight would happen between these two fighters, and fight fans are eager to see Khamzat Chimaev in the cage as the wolf hasn’t fought once since September 2022, when he had his last fight with Kevin Holland. He won that fight as well, taking his winning streak to 11-0. Both fighters exchanged a few words before on social media, and there is no denying the fact that if the fight between these two was officially announced, then that would be a treat for fight fans.
At UFC 291 against Ikram Aliskerov, Roman Dolidze will be seen in action as a replacement for Paulo Costa.
