“I went to the bathroom and cried a little,” Yuzvendra Chahal said of his T20 World Cup 2021 snub.

Indian team leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal recently revealed the moment in his cricket career when he was immensely sad that he even cried a little. While playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2021, he was making regular appearances in ODIs and T20s for team India, and everyone, including some of the cricket experts, was optimistic about his selection in the T20 World Cup 2021 squad, but to everyone’s surprise, he wasn’t selected in the Indian squad, and that’s what led to Yuzvendra Chahal‘s mental breakdown, as even after performing well in white-ball cricket and playing for RCB, who was captained by Virat Kohli at the time, he didn’t get selected for the T20 World Cup 2021.

Yuzvendra Chahal, in a podcast show called “The Ranveer Show,” mentioned the name of India’s former captain Virat Kohli, who was also the captain of RCB during the IPL 2021, and said that it was a shock for him that he was playing under Virat Kohli both in ICC events and in a cash-rich league still Varun Chakravarthy was preferred over him. After he got to know about the news of his omission from the squad, he broke down in tears. He thanked his wife for her support during his tough time.

“I don’t cry a lot but I went to bathroom and cried a little, When I was not picked up for the 2021 T20 World Cup, I felt sad. I had to play IPL in Dubai at that time. My Wife was with me that time. Next day, we had to catch a flight for Dubai. We had to go there to continue the IPL matches that were postponed due to Covid. We also had to quarantine for a week. Otherwise, you could have gone out to relax. Best thing was she was with me, so I could control my anger. If she would not have been there, I would have been more frustrated.”

My wife told me whatever happened let it go, but my team [RCB] needs me for the seven matches that are remaining. Just prove yourself. She told me to remove all my anger on the ground – in the sense that just go and perform. I realized she is right. Then, I took out my anger and frustration on the ground. But yeah, that was the saddest phase,
