Roger Federer told the media about his view on Novak Djokovic achievments
The tennis legend Roger Federer breaks the silence about rumors that he does not like Novak Djokovic as he does Rafael Nadal. He wants Djokovic to break his Wimbledon record, and if he does, it will do great for tennis.
Recently Novak Djokovic won the French Open breaking the record to win the highest number of grand slams in 23rd. Many players congratulated him quite quickly, but Roger Federer took quite a long to congratulate him, which made many media guys spread rumors that Roger Federer does not really like Djokovic because he does congratulate Rafael Nadal quite quickly whenever he wins.
However, it is true that Federer and Nadal are quite close friends compared to Djokovic because when Roger took retirement, Nadal cried so hard during his farewell, which clearly shows the bond between the two players.
Federer denied the false rumors that he does not like Djokovic saying a few things about Djokovic.
“Honestly, I think it’s great for him. You know, I had my moments. For me, having won my eighth or my fifth in a row, whatever it may be, that was my moment so if somebody equals that, passes that, this is their thing, their moment,”
“So, I hope he does it to be honest because I think anything more he does adds to tennis history. It goes above and beyond just talking tennis, it goes into global sports like when he went to 23 in Paris. This is incredible stuff, great news and its good for the game. I think he’s the heavy favorite and I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins Wimbledon again,”

Recently Federer came to watch Wimbledon 2023 on day 2 with his wife, Mirka, alongside Princess of Wales Catherine, who came to cheery Andy Murray, who won the match against Ryan Peniston.
Djokovic won the second round of Wimbledon by 6-3, 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 against Jordan Thompson, who did give a decent performance in the second round but lost to Djokovic, who is now in the third round. He is going to play against the veteran Stanislas Wawrinka who won his second round against Argentinian player T. Etcheveryy by 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Both tennis stars had a long head-to-head clash against each other as they played 26 matches in which Djokovic won 20, and Wawrinka won 6. This will be the first time both will play on the grass against each other.
