PSG will soon officially announce Luis Enrique as their new manager after terminating Christophe Galtier’s contract
Paris Saint Germain is going to finalize the deal with Luis Enrique in one or two days after they terminated Christophe Galtier’s contract as he has been accused of being racist in his former club Nice.
Luis Enrique left the managerial post of the Spain national team in 2022 after they exited in the round of 16 of the Qatar FIFA World Cup. He is one of the top managers in the world and was on the Chelsea and Tottenham shortlist to be appointed as manager, but they both chose another manager.
Enrique had great success with Barcelona when he joined them in 2014 and won the Treble (UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and Copa del Rey) with them in his first season. After that, he won two more Copa del Rey titles and another La Liga title, but in 2018 he left the club to manage Spain National team in 2018.
Luis Enrique is already in the talk about how he wants his squad and will go for the Champions League title, which PSG has been trying since the start and has changed around 5 managers over the spell. The closest they went was in finals when they lost against Bayern Munich when Thomas Tuchel was their Manager.
Enrique has been known for his possession play, as his team passes a lot and keeps the ball around themselves a lot. He is also quite offensive with his tactics and thinks that attack is the best defense for the team which is why he always signs a pace player on the wings, but he never keeps any target man in the striker role as he keeps a free. It is not going to be very easy for him because the situation in France is quite bad at the moment because of all the strikes and riots going around because of Refugees’ death which happened due to the police shooting.
