Luka Modric signed a one-year extended contract to play in Real Madrid for one more year

Luka Modric will be going to play for the Real Madrid side for one more year after signing one year contract.

The Croatian superstar and captain, Luka Modric, will play one more year for Real Madrid, and he will be 38 in the coming September, which clearly shows his amazing skill and ability to play in a highly competitive team like Real Madrid for this long.

Modric signed from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012, and since then, he has been the core member of the Madrid side. He won around 20 titles, including 5 UEFA Champions League titles. However, Al-Hilal of a Saudi club gave him an amazing offer to join their side in the summer, but Modric wanted to play in the top 5 leagues in Europe for another year alongside Toni Kross, who is also going to play for Madrid for one more year because they are one of the most important players for them.

Real Madrid midfield players are quite new, but all are superstars. Recently Real Madrid signed Jude Bellingham, and alongside him, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Fede Valverde will play, which is going to be one of the top young talent midfield.

Toni Kross and Luka Modric will be important for the Madrid side to share their experience with the young midfield so that they will be great in the future. Al-Hilal gave Modric a 200 million euros offer for three years so he would join Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, but he rejected the offer as he wanted to be in Madrid for one more year as he is feeling quite well with his body.

Luka Modric played 488 matches for Real Madrid, scoring 37 goals and giving 77 assists showing his worth in the midfield for creating chance for the the Madrid side. He plays as a holding midfielder for Madrid, but for Croatia, he plays in attacking midfield, and because of that, he scored 24 goals.
