In his 15 years of cricket, AB De Villiers has played some magnificent innings, and due to his dynamic batting style and the ability to play some of the most unbelievable shots, he is a special player that cricket fans look up to. His performance for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL made him a known name among Indian cricket fans, and before the IPL 2023, he was also honored by RCB by including him in the RCB hall of fame.

AB De Villiers started his international cricket career in 2004 for South Africa and has garnered popularity due to his batting style. He is a record holder for the fastest 50, 100, and 150 in the ODI format. With his unique batting technique, he scored over 9577 runs in ODI, 8765 runs in test cricket, and 1672 runs in T20I. While giving the interview, he expressed his thoughts on playing cricket again and, if he comes back, who he wants to compete with, sharing his views.

Definitely. I could still play. But the drive is not there anymore. Robbie, from a young age. It’s always just about being the best. I want to be the best if I come back and I’ll want to compete with Surya and Kohli and I just felt the last four years of my career not playing international cricket. I definitely didn’t play enough cricket towards the back end of my career. I think that was the main thing. With this Impact Player I know a lot of people are celebrating it, it’s going to lengthen the careers of players.

So, with the minute that fire went off being the best in the world, I felt like, what? What am I doing? So, what exactly is going on now? So was tough the last few years in that regard as well. I felt like, you know what, I can still have my super knock here and there, but I don’t want to do that. I want to be the best”
