His father worked as a member of the CISF before moving to Chandigarh. Arshdeep Singh’s domestic career started at a very young age due to his bowling skills, as he could bowl at 140+ speed consistently. He played for Chandigarh in the Punjab inter-district ODI championship. Singh scalped 19 wickets in five matches in the DP Azad Trophy. He got selected in the U-19 team for the 2018 U-19 World Cup after his performance in the Challenger Trophy, where he took 7 wickets for his team, India Red, and became part of the winning side in the tournament. Later, he played for Punjab U-23 in the CK Nayudu Trophy, where he showed his exceptional bowling skills and took a total of 10 wickets in the match against Rajasthan U-23.
