Latest FIFA World Ranking: Know who is in the 1st position?
The FIFA World Ranking is recently out after a long time, and some teams surprised everyone with their ranking in the world after the FIFA World Cup.
Spain is in the 10th spot after securing 1703.45 points after they won the Nations Cup recently against Croatia in the Penalty shootout. Portugal is in the 9th spot after having a mixed football season, and right now, they have 1718.58 points.
The Italian team stayed with their 8th spot with 1726.58 because they were not in the FIFA World Cup but reached the semi-final of the Nation League. The Netherlands had a heating season as they are still in 7th rank with 1731.23 points after reaching the semi-final of the FIFA World Cup but losing against Argentina.
Croatia has been a dark horse in the big FIFA and UEFA events, reaching semi-finals and finals with a team that doesn’t have many superstars, making them one of Fans’ favorite teams grabbed the 6th spot in the FIFA ranking and their latest best performance was in UEFA Nation League in which they lost to Spain in the finals.
It is really amazing to see Belgium is still in the fifth spot because, in the last 2 years, they just failed to give anything in the major competition and slid down from 1st to 5th in under 1 year, which is quite right for them.
England is in 4th rank, as they started to play better than before, and their young talented squad showed their skill on the big stages as it has been seen that England started performing better and reaching quarter-finals and semi-finals in major tournaments like World Cup and other UEFA competitions.
Brazil gave some disappointing performances in the last few major events because they are the team who considered winners but still failed to reach the semi-finals or finals. They are in the 3rd spot.
France has been one of the best teams in the past 5-6 years, and they showed that by winning the world cup and last year almost winning the back-to-back world cup but lost against Argentina, who are in the 1st spot in the FIFA World Ranking as they won the World Cup recently to give the greatest footballer Lionel Messi best farewell and got the last missing piece in his trophy cabinet.
