Indian Kabaddi team defeated Japan by 62-18 to get their 3rd win in the Asian Kabaddi Championship
India won their 3rd match of the Indian Asian Kabaddi Championship against Japan by a huge margin of 62-18 to reach the final of the tournament, which is going to be against Iran for sure because they are the only team who can compete against the Indian team head-on.
India has already won the Asian Kabaddi Championship for a record seven times out of eight, and only Iran won it once in 2003. India started off quite well against Japan as they went straight 18-0, but then Arjun Deshwal’s raid got failed, and Japan got their first point
India was already on the winning course at half-time as they scored 32 points, and Japan scored only 6 points till that time. The win went beyond Japan’s reach, and India won the match by 62-18 to win by 44-point gap against a well-trained Japanese side.
Iran will be their next opponent who has been the biggest competitor in Kabaddi because they are the only team who can give a tough fight and can also win against them as they did in the past.
Iran is another unbeaten team in the league, as they recently defeated the Korea Kabaddi team by 72-17 to crush them easily and showed them how amazing they are as a team. However, there is a small danger for India against Iran because India’s team came with all young guns who mostly did not play in many international tournaments.
India will go up against Iran on June 29th, 2023, and the match will start at 10:30 AM, which is going to be their last match of the league stage for them in the Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023.
6 teams are participating in the tournament, but two teams, Sri Lanka and Pakistan missed the chance to be part of the Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023. India, IranSouth, Korea, Chinese Taipei, Japan, and Hong Kong are the teams who participated in the tournament.
