India’s tour of Ireland: fixtures, time, date, and Venue released

India’s schedule this year is quite busy as the team is going to tour the West Indies soon for all formats series, and just after the West Indies tour, India is going to tour Ireland for three T20I matches. This would be the fourth time India is touring Ireland for matches; last year, India toured Ireland for two T20 series, and this time for three T20 matches. Matches are going to happen in August, and in the same month, India would be playing in the Asia Cup after the end of the series, as per some sources, and after that, there would be the ICC World Cup 2023, which is going to happen in India this time, and the host team would have pressure to perform in front of the home crowd.

The Ireland team is now out of the ICC World Cup qualifiers league, and their dream to become one of the two teams who would be qualifying for the World Cup 2023 is now shattered. They have to wait for another four years to qualify, and until then they can improve their ICC cricket rankings. After the qualifiers setback, Ireland has to face the Indian team on their soil, and the chief executive of Cricket Ireland is quite excited about Team India visiting Ireland. In a media interaction, he said

“We’re delighted to welcome India Men back to Ireland for the second time in 12 months. We saw two sold-out matches in 2022, so to have a three-match series this year should give even more fans the opportunity to enjoy what is always a memorable occasion.”

“Our sincere thanks to the BCCI, first, for their continued inclusion of Ireland in the Indian team’s busy itinerary and also for working with us to ensure as fan-friendly a schedule a possible – having matches on a Friday and Sunday will hopefully maximise availability of fans.”

Warren Deutrom, Chief Executive of Cricket Ireland

All the three matches are going to be held in Malahide, and here are the dates for the matches.

18th August: Ireland vs India, 7:30 PM IST

20th August: Ireland vs India, 7:30 PM IST

23rd August: Ireland vs India, 7:30 PM IST
