Tennis star appreciated Wimbledon’s Authority to allow female players to wear dark color undershorts

Coco Gauff, the tennis women's star, appreciated the Wimbledon committee for allowing female players to wear dark undershorts.

Coco Gauff, who is currently ranked 6 in women’s singles, appreciated Wimbledon’s authority to let women wear dark undershorts if they are on their periods.

Coco Gauff told the media that last year when she was playing in the Wimbledon tournament, she was on periods and always stayed stressed while playing in full white clothes because of her periods as there might be the chance to have some stain of blood while plain which would make any women uncomfortable.

“I really support it a lot. It’s a big relief. I was on my period last year during Wimbledon and it was very stressful. It’s going to relieve a lot of stress for me and other girls in the locker room”

She also said that women players who are on their periods during the Wimbledon could not fully focus on their game as they are stressed about the leakage, and the blood stain might be there on their clothes as Wimbledon has a policy of full white clothes.

All England Club CEO Sally Bolton confirmed the news saying that they took feedback from the women players and also from the fans, and after the talk with the committee of Management, it was decided that Women could wear dark color undershorts but still, their upper clothes are going to be white as the policy of the Wimbledon as it has been one of the biggest Grand Slam tournament.

The main event of Wimbledon will start on July 3rd, 2023, as many stars will participate in the tournament, and right now, the qualifiers of Wimbledon are going on, which will end on June 29th.
